About Brian Crutcher

 

Brian Crutcher is a senior technology executive and strategic advisor with more than two decades of experience leading global organizations across the semiconductor and advanced technology industries. He is recognized for driving innovation, operational excellence, and digital transformation across engineering, manufacturing, and go-to-market functions worldwide.

 

Currently, Brian serves on the Board of Advisors for several technology companies:

 

  • Precision Surfacing Solutions – A semiconductor equipment manufacturer and portfolio company of Angeles Equity Partners and Bison Capital

  • mmTron Inc. – An innovative mmWave broadband company focused on linear, power-efficient RF products

 

In addition to his board work, Brian consults for global semiconductor companies ranging from start-ups to $15 billion in annual revenue, advising leadership teams on growth strategy, organizational transformation, digital innovation and profitability improvement.  He previously served on the boards of Resonant, Inc. (RESN) — a publicly traded 5G RF IP company acquired by Murata in 2022 — and Spacee, a computer-vision and AI company. Across these roles, he applies his strategic and operational expertise to help companies accelerate change, revenue growth, and margin expansion.

Leadership at Texas Instruments

 

Brian spent 23 years at Texas Instruments (TI), a $15 billion global semiconductor company with operations in more than 30 countries and approximately 30,000 employees.

During his tenure, he held multiple executive roles including:

 

  • President & Chief Executive Officer

  • Chief Operating Officer

  • Member of the Board of Directors

  • Senior Vice President, Analog Products and Embedded Processors

  • Vice President, Americas Sales & Marketing

 

As CEO and COO, Brian led company-wide growth initiatives focused on long-term revenue expansion and shareholder return. Under his senior leadership, TI’s strategic businesses — Analog and Embedded Processing — achieved a $4.4 billion (49%) increase in revenue and improved profit from operations by 22 points.

 

He also expanded TI’s presence in industrial and automotive markets, achieving double-digit revenue CAGR by creating a system-engineering organization of 100+ engineers to design automation systems using TI technologies.

Additionally, he spearheaded the company’s digital transformation, advancing the use of data analytics, marketing automation, and online sales strategies across business units.

 

Earlier in his career, Brian held senior leadership roles in TI’s Analog Products, Embedded Processors, and Microcontroller divisions, and led Americas Sales & Applications before being promoted to executive management. He began his career at TI in 1996 as a Technical Sales Engineer in California.

 

He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine. He was honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award by UCF’s College of Engineering and Computer Science.
